: I am very close to buying my new exhaust system, I still have a few q's though. Should I go with downpipes and no cats or should I leave the cats and gut them? there is no emmisions control to worry about where I live so that is not an issue. I have been told by many people that going with downpipes and no cats can cause problems with the cars performance, and also that without cats it would be annoyingly loud. I think I am going with a custom bent system from my local performance shop. I was also wondering if I could just use the Greddy canisters on the ends to get that aggresive look. Thanks for any insights. You won't be able to purchase the GReddy muffler section separate (new); you'd have to find someone that damaged their H pipe section and wants to sell the muffler section (check with KaZ... ) Definately get downpipes and replace those restrictive pre-cats. If you're having a muffler shop do the catback piping, you can have them do the test pipe section, too.
Later, Phuong
